Registered nurses with an interest in gynecologic oncology and women's health care are invited to become members of SGNO and to join in our commitment to professional growth and collegiality. Other health professionals engaged in or interested in gynecologic oncology and women's health care are eligible for associate membership which entitles the member to full membership privileges except for the right to vote or hold office. Organizational membership is available to certain groups.
On behalf of the SGNO Membership Committee, we would like to wish you a Happy New Year! We hope that 2014 brings both you and your family much health, love, and prosperity.
At the SGNO Board Meeting in June of 2013, the decision was made to increase our membership fees. A one-year membership fee is now $55.00 and a two-year membership fee is now $100.00. Organizational membership remains unchanged at $200.00 per year. Membership runs from March to March of the following calendar year. The fee increase became effective on January 1, 2014.
We are offering a membership recruiting incentive. Recruit four new members to SGNO within one calendar year and your next year's membership will be free. If you would like SGNO brochures to give to your colleagues or if you would like to post information about SGNO at your workplace, please contact us. We want to get the word out there about our organization. SGNO is the only professional nursing society for nurses working specifically in gynecology-oncology.
If any of your contact information has changed since you last renewed your membership, please let us know! This includes your preferred email address. SGNO will email important news throughout the year and we want to be certain that you will receive it all.
Be sure to renew your membership. SGNO has a fantastic symposium planned for April 2nd through 5th in beautiful San Diego. Come join us!
Wishing you all the best in 2014!
