Why You Need SGNO

Continuing advances in our profession make heavy demands on us for increased knowledge and skills in clinical situations, for new insights and techniques in psychosocial intervention, and for up-to-date understanding of professional issues.

The Society of Gynecologic Nurse Oncologists responds to these needs and presents the most current information at our annual Symposium and through our Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Nursing (JOGON).

Members meet nurses from throughout the country and around the world, forming valuable ties with colleagues who practice in a variety of settings.

The Society provides opportunities to write, lecture, participate on a committee and/or speakers bureau, and to serve as an elected officer.

The annual business meeting provides opportunities for members to join and participate on a committee of their individual interest. The direction the SGNO will take is born at the annual business meeting. Your participation at the meeting helps to determine our future together.
